Do you have a kid who loves the 80’s vibe? Who doesn’t? I put together this mood board including all the links you need to create an amazing 80’s themed bedroom that isn’t over the top.
Note: I make a small commission from affiliate links.
Let’s start with the wallpaper. I love an accent wall, and I love the simplicity of a grid wallpaper. It gives a subtle 80s vibe but can go with so many different themes if you ever change the room design.
For paint color, I love a deep fuschia option like Sherwin Williams Dynamo (6841), Forward Fuschia (6842) or Gradeur Plum (6565). But make sure you test the color in your space. For some added flair, try some wall decals on top of the paint.
For the desk area, I love the idea of a sleek glossy white and acrylic desk with a fun mirror and a fluffy pink desk chair.
I think any bed can work in this space, but I love the idea of an arched upholstered bed and the velvet fabric makes it feel extra lush. A checkered shag rug really brings the space together!
Then all that’s left to do is accessorize!
- 80s Palm Art
- Cassette Tape Art
- Neon Sign
- Checkered Throw Pillows
- Lip Pillow
- Acrylic Vase
- Balloon Dog Decor
- Throw Blanket
Here is a fun color scheme you can use, but I suggest if you want to follow this scheme, going to Sherwin Williams and grabbing your own paint chips in these color families to make sure you love the combination in person! As I sit and type this, the paint chips I am looking at in my hand look completely different than they do on screen!
Have fun and please message me if you decide to create an 80’s themed room. I would love to see it!
